Things I learned today: I’m a fan of french toast sticks. Also, I’m NOT a fan of “spicy cider syrup”.
Never really been a fan of apple cider in general. Also, I’m not completely convinced I even made this recipe right. Also also, I prefer my syrup straight-from-the-refridgerator cold.
Factor all these together and I wasn’t a fan of the syrup. I did try it though! And then promptly took the bottle of maple syrup out of the fridge and poured it over my cinnamon sticks.
The french toast sticks part of this meal was easy peasy. I even let my husband prepare the liquid that the bread is dipped in! I wish I had some type of bread other than regular white sandwich bread. I’ve heard there’s a specific type of bread that’s the best to use for french toast. Please advise.
Another husband approved meal (even though he’s a type 1 diabetic and really shouldn’t be eating so much sugar. whoops!)!
