Beef with Bow Tie Pasta/Chocolate Brownies

I’m drooling thinking about this beef. In fact, it’s going to be my lunch for this next week. I used a sirloin steak as the “beef” part of the dish and let me tell you, it add sooooo much depth and flavor. I LOVE steak so tossing it in to one of my favorite dishes (pasta) made me a happy camper.

I also loved that I didn’t use pasta sauce for this dish. I sorta made my own version of it. It worked and tasted delicious.

Let me tell you, it’s REALLY good as leftovers.

The only not-so-great-of-a-cook moment I had was when I was cooking the steaks. I don’t think I cut them into small enough pieces because it took awhile for the insides to cook as much as the outside.

I also used vegetable broth since I had an open container fro a recipe a few weeks back. I don’t think it tasted any different…..

Sad day. I forgot to take a picture of these brownies before I completely devoured them. Let that be proof of how delicious they were though.

I also forgot how much fun it is to lick the brownie spoon.

My usual go-to brownie recipe is Betty Crocker’s boxed variety, but this was equally delicious though not quite as moist. I think that was user-error.

I’m not usually a walnuts-in-brownies kind of girl either, but I went for it in the name of ~trying new things~. Not bad! I actually enjoyed it!
